Well hello New Moon in Cancer!

So we have our dark new moon that arrives in the last hour of today– so we will celebrate in the next 2 days’ readings.

Now. I don’t really know that I should use the world celebrate because there is something really big before us. I am seeing something like a big wall of darkness, like with monsoons. I remember living in Queen Creek, AZ back in 2002 and was at the kitchen sink when off to the left I just saw a wall of black from ground to sky and got alarmed thinking it was the end of the world, and then my roommate cleared the air that THIS is what monsoons are.

Another time I was out in a motorless boat on Canyon Lake and suddenly a monsoon dropped down with lighting and hail and a crazy black sky, when moments before we were just rowing along, loving the beautiful blue sky and thinking life is soooo good! Then we were out of the boat and holding on for dear life, thinking we were just about to die.

BUT THEN. It passed. Drenched, we climbed back into the boat and made our way back to the dock where people were cheering for us and were about to send out rescue because they all were worried that we were out there in THAT. Then we went to the bar nearby and we were like celebrities for surviving that storm as everybody had heard about the one little fishing boat that was still out there!! I remember the bar had saddles to sit in and I remember how we processed that we were just screaming and thinking we were going to die and now we were so giddy and like LIFE IS AMAZING!!!!!!!

The fact that this memory just came back to me is telling of this energy — and I remember that wave of emotion from we are going to die from a lightning strike to oh my gosh we just survived a miracle – WE CAN DO ANYTHING + I LOVE YOUUUUU!!!

So this energy is like that and we need to realize that the wall of black may come in and we may get thrown out of the boat and we may be between 2 canyon walls so there is NOWHERE to get us out of the water and there may be 100 strikes all around us to the point it REALLY looks like holding onto the metal boat and being in water = death.

But we must see to me and my friend sitting like cowgirls at the end of it all, drenched but empowered that we made it through and were left standing. We must see that we are in a process and that what is most important is that you do NOT give up and instead keep living for when it passes and things get back to normal. I feel that things out in the world right now are NOT NORMAL and we just need to see our way through this and get back to the dock when the monsoon that suddenly came in does what it also does and suddenly departs. Something is like a footstep, as it drops in but then moves away and drops somewhere else. So ride it out, ride it out. The story is not done yet! Think about how all great stories have HUGE DEPTHS and scary places to them. But then, just like us, we rounded this curve and were visible to people on the dock and it was nothing but celebration that they weren’t bringing in dead bodies.

Also know that if your emotions do go all over the place like with what we experienced —  IT HAPPENS, our fight and flight is ON EDGE, and one thing that did not happen is that we didn’t judge each other later for how freaked out we got. To this day we still laugh like hyenas over it! But in the moment, not so much.

So see your way through this… the dock is up ahead and there is PROTECTION around you. This experience is JUST to get you through this wave of emotion that will imprint you forever. But realize the strength it is going to give you could not be gotten any other way than through life experience. My experience taught me that not all scary things stay scary and sometimes they are the very thing that changes you for the better.
